Hello, I'm Jerry Green and I'm glad you've landed here to learn about my photography. But first, allow me to introduce myself. After spending most of my life in my home state of Alabama, my family and I now live in Viera, Florida. We relocated in the Fall of 2021. My wife, Connie, and I have four children. Our son, Austin, and his lovely wife, Emily, are campus pastors for Discover Life Church in Viera. Emily has recently released her first book, Pursue Daily. So we're very proud of both of them! We have also been blessed with three beautiful girls adopted from various locations in China. Lily, Lia, and Lucy have been the source of great joy and blessings since becoming a part of our family and we are so very proud of each of them.
Since 2011, I've been using photography to capture life's moments in various capacities. I began my photography in youth sports, including basketball, baseball, and volleyball and found it very rewarding to provide parents with timeless photographs of their children pursuing their own passions.
Perhaps the most rewarding and formative years of my early photography work was time I spent as a volunteer for Lifeline Children's Services and its Unadopted Ministry in Birmingham, Alabama. In this role, I was the lead photographer on several missions to China to reach vulnerable children and document their conditions in support of Christian-based adoption. My role was to capture the personalities of the children thru photography in order to provide adoptive families a glimpse into the lives of their future little ones and to provide some encouragement as to their cognitive and relation-building skills. My photographs also supported medical assessments and social profile development by pediatric physicians and social workers in the U.S.
Since 2021, I've been a lead photographer for Discover Life Church in Melbourne, Florida. In this role, I am assigned to capture the essence of worship and the intimate relationships being formed with our Lord Jesus Christ during worship, education and outreach, salvation experiences, baptisms, community service, and fellowship.
